Our website has been locked in january for displaying copyrighted UK football fixtures. Thanks very much to Data Co for that. That's why there is no more Man Utd fixture list temporaly on this website. For
those of you who didn't know, you need a license to display the
fixtures of MUFC or any other club (about £266 plus VAT ). But we won't let them get away with it because there was a decision made by the European Court of Justice concerning the European Database Directive in 2004: they hold that investment in ‘creating’ data, e.g. by drawing up a list of sporting events, does not count towards ‘substantial investment’, thereby denying database protection to such ‘single-source’ data as football fixtures and horseracing schedules. So it was totally illegal to lock our website and any website for displaying football fixtures. In fact, we should be paid for a such free adverts and we should be paid when we applaud the players and when we sing, because we are a part of the show. How about that. Vive la Premier League!
